// Performance Telemetry Benchmark

Alaska Website
Performance Benchmark.

FOURAK periodically tests a defined sample of publicly accessible Alaska websites to understand regional performance trends. We publish only anonymized, aggregated findings, along with FOURAK’s own results, to help Alaska organizations build faster and more accessible digital experiences.

// Voluntary Opt-In Badge Program

Alaska-serving organizations that meet our verified Core Web Vitals speed requirements can request to display the voluntary badge program: "Alaska Web Performance Standard — 2026 (Independently Verified by FOURAK)".

Featured listings in our public registries are entirely opt-in. We require written business permission before adding any organization name or scores.

// About This Benchmark

This benchmark was prepared by FOUR MEDIA GROUP LLC, which operates FOURAK and provides website design and development services.

The report summarizes anonymized performance results from a defined sample of publicly accessible Alaska web-agency homepages. It does not identify, rank or evaluate individual businesses. FOURAK’s own results are identified separately and were measured using the same published testing process.

The findings apply only to the websites, pages, metrics and testing period included in this study. They should not be interpreted as measurements of every Alaska website, every Alaska web agency or the overall quality of any company’s services or client work.

Website performance can vary because of hosting conditions, network routing, third-party services, website updates, testing configuration and other factors. Results represent measurements observed during the stated testing period and may change over time.

All comparative figures refer to the tested sample—not the entire Alaska market. Detailed testing procedures, sample size, metric definitions and limitations are provided in our dedicated Methodology Page ↗.

Time to First Byte (TTFB)

TTFB measures how quickly the server begins responding. Uncached or poorly optimized database-driven websites may require additional server processing. Page caching, edge caching and other optimizations can substantially reduce this overhead.

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

LCP measures how fast the main hero visual renders on screen. Pre-rendered static delivery can reduce server-side processing, although actual performance depends on implementation, assets, scripts, hosting and network conditions.

The Alaska Low-Bandwidth Reality

Efficient static or carefully cached delivery can be especially valuable for users on slower regional, mobile and satellite connections. Keeping assets compressed and served at the edge resolves performance bottlenecks.

// Study Limitations

This benchmark represents diagnostic lab data captured under controlled constraints. It evaluates only the landing homepage of the selected agency nodes. It does not measure user-journey transitions, post-login apps, custom client builds, or third-party web portals maintained by the listed organizations. All calculations and interquartile distributions refer strictly to the 25 tested sample nodes in the Pacific Northwest gateway testing set.
